Documentary Requirements

Commercial consignment. 

*Commercial invoice containing: Name and address of supplier and buyer; numbers and marks of the packages, nature, quality or grade, net weight, quantity and gross weight or dimensions of the packages, charges for transportation an insurance, discounts commission etc., country of origin, airport of entry, terms of payment, supplier’s signature and declaration that the invoice is true and correct and to the best of his or her knowledge and belief.

*Import licence or (in case of goods falling under the open General Licence):

Registration form from Sudan Ministry of commerce, Industry and Supply, Application for the Import Licence must be accompanied by a Pro Forma Invoices.

Restrictions

Live Animals 

Health certificates to be obtained before arrival.

Import Licence to be obtained before arrival if live animals intended for commercial use e.g. chicks.

Plants and plant material  

Health certificate .Import permits from Plant protection Dept., Ministry of Agriculture if plants intended for commercial use. All packages must be marked “To be examined by Plant Quarantine Services”.

Arms, ammunition and explosives 

Include hunting arms: Prior Import Permit from Ministry of Interior, Khartoum.

Pharmaceutical and Chemical products 

Insecticides: Import permit from plant production dept., Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Health.

Prohibitions

Goods originating or re-exported from Israel.
